Product Review: L’Oréal Paris Color of Hope

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and L’Oréal Paris.

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. In support of Ovarian Cancer research, L’Oréal Paris has created the Color of Hope cosmetic collection with a portion of proceeds donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).

When the opportunity presented to review and have a chance to be an advocate with L’Oréal in the effort to support Ovarian Cancer research I jumped at the chance. This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. 5 years ago on September 4, my cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation for nine months, she had genetic testing done. This is when another blow came to the family, she has the gene for ovarian cancer at which time her doctor recommended her to have her ovaries removed. It was a tough decision for her but ultimately knew that it was only thing to do. Now five years later she is still cancer free and a huge advocate for cancer research. Helping with this product launch is a great way to help my best friend, cousin, and Godmother to my daughter.

L’Oréal Paris Color of Hope line is simply divine. When purchased separately L’Oréal will donate $1 for each product to OCRF. When a cosmetic bag is purchased, L’Oréal will donate $5 per bag!

Available to you while supplies last:

At first glance, I just adored the colors. Once I played around with them and had a chance to wear them around my family, friends and coworkers, I have received many of compliments. My husband was in love with my new look especially since I have been stuck in a rut. The Color of Hope Lip Gloss was the first thing he noticed when I picked him up from his most recent home time. It lasted most of the day and went on my lips like a dream. My daughter “A” is now anxiously waiting by the door for her Hope makeup to arrive. Looks like I’ll be heading out to Target or CVS when the line is officially launched to buy her a lip gloss so she can be like mommy.

Please fight the battle of Ovarian Cancer by helping L’Oréal donate to OCRF by heading out to your local Mega Marts , drug stores, or box stores and purchase some (or all!) of the Color of Hope Cosmetic line.

The L’Oréal Paris Color of Hope Cosmetic bag will be available for purchase beginning in September 2009. Purchases can be made online via http://www.lorealcolorofhope.com/ while supplies last. L’Oréal Paris will donate $5 from each cosmetic bag purchased to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).

  3. Almost 2 years ago to the day, 9-07-07, I was diagnoised with OC. It was just a simple bladder infection, or so I thought, that sent me into the docs office. Only to find out I had 3 tumors, with one engaged in a little power struggle involving my bladder. Long story short, I AM ALIVE!! It was an early stage one, heat infused interabdominal chemo wash and viola, here I am world! Thanks for a great review of a great product and even better company!
